Make a stunning centerpiece like the one below... You can purchase wooden Easter eggs in bulk on Amazon or you can purchase them at a local craft  store like Michaels or A.C. Moore. Learn How to Make These Decorative Candle Holders Decoupaged with Napkins & Ribbon Bling

Image
Today, I came across these beautiful black and white candle holders on YouTube.  In my opinion, they are just stunning! I could not believe how easy and inexpensive they were to make from watching the video, and I just had to share. There are many other candle holder centerpieces that you can make from this channel, but these jumped out at me and definitely caught my eye because I love bold black and white patterns . I'm sure I'll try this project in the near future along with the other decorative candle centerpieces that are posted on this channel. This is also a relatively inexpensive project.  The supplies you will need are linked below for your convenience (they are affiliate links so if you buy them through here, I do want to be up front and tell you that I will make a modest commission). SUPPLIES You can purchase some of these items at your local Dollar Tree store or you can order them in bulk on line at the   links directly below and have them delivered to your f...

Lace Hoop Jewelry Organizer Tutorial

Image
I have a lot of earrings!  I needed a way to display my earrings so that I could easily access them in the morning and not have to rummage through a dish to figure out which ones I want to wear. So while I was in JoAnn Fabrics I saw this embroidery hoop and got an idea.  What if I covered the hoop with a strong lace and hung it up on my bedroom wall? It worked!  I think it came out really cute too and I am very pleased with the finished product, if I do say so myself, lol! When my daughter's (ages 24 and 20) saw it, they said, "Wow, Mom, that's really pretty!  Did you make that?"  (P.S.  I love it when my daughter's compliment me on anything because it makes me feel 'with it', LOL!!!) Pictured above is the result of my idea and you can find the video tutorials below if you'd like to make one for yourself. This earring display makes finding my earrings sooooooooo much easier too!  It saves me a lot of time in not only finding my earrings, but deciding w...

Lovely Decoupaged Tin Can

Image
/ Painted tin cans make beautiful art.  I saw the one pictured above on Pinterest and thought it would make a stunning gift. Simply by painting and or decoupaging , you can turn a simple tin can into a beautiful container for holding miscellaneous items on your dresser, in your craft area, kitchen, laundry room, or back porch, etc. You can also use these cans to plant flowers and greenery to spruce up any room in your house. What a simple and inexpensive way to turn a plain old tin can that would most likely be thrown out into a beautiful work of art! I'm sure these cans would sell like hotcakes at a craft show or flea market, too. You could begin by saving your tin cans and enlisting the help of your friends, family and neighbors too. I'm sure most people recycle these cans, but instead you can collect them to have all different shapes and sizes. Learn more about the art and craft of decoupage by clicking this link. You can purchase most of the following items at a local craft...

Wire Snowflake Pendant

Image
Do you know someone who loves snow?  This snowflake pendant would make a beautiful homemade Christmas gift. As a northerner who has lived in the south now for 12 years, I can honestly say I've had my share of snow, but I do still love it when we have a white Christmas, which we do get here in North Carolina. Pictured above is a beautiful pendant you can learn how to make by watching the video below. Jocelyn D. is a great teacher even if you've never made any wire jewelry.  She is very thorough with her instructions.  If you've never made wire jewelry before, you may want to start with a simpler piece other than the snowflake. In any case if you have some nice soft wire, which you can buy in bulk you wouldn't mind if you made mistakes if you wanted to try this as your first project.  If you click the picture below, you can buy it on line too. Multi-Purpose Wire  The multi-purpose, multi-strand wire pictured above can be purchase at Home Depot or Lowes, or any har...
