How To Make a Glow In The Dark Fairy Jar

Want to catch a fairy? If you're looking for a fun craft to make with your kids, why not make a glow in the dark fairy jar like the ones pictured here? Sometimes kids have trouble falling asleep and these glow in the dark jars would make a nice night light for them. They are fun and inexpensive to make, too!  P.S. They only last about 8 hours. All you need are four items:  a clean mason jar , paintbrushes,  white school glue (optional), and   glow sticks . Click here for more detailed instructions, or watch the video below. Design a Mug with Sharpies!

Creating original, fun and great coffee mugs with Sharpies is a great way to personalize a simple gift like a coffee mug and give them to friends and family for the holidays. Follow the instructions in the video below to get some ideas, but use your imagination to create whatever you want with a Sharpie. Sharpies are permanent markers that come in a large variety of colors.  after using Sharpie markers to decorate your ceramic mug or plate, you can secure the ink to the piece by baking it in the oven. This will keep it from fading and also make it usable to eat or drink from. So all you do is decorate your mug using Sharpie pens.  Let the ink dry for an hour or so.   Bake the decorated ceramic piece in a regular kitchen oven for 1/2 an hour at 350 degrees.  I recommend placing the piece in the oven, turning the oven on to 350.  Once it reaches 350 degrees, set your timer for 30 minutes.  When the timer goes off, turn the oven off, let the piece cool ...

Hand-Painting Strawberries on Rocks is Fun & Easy!

Summer may be over, but you can still have strawberries in the house. Turning little stones or rocks into strawberries is easy.  Just collect some small pieces and wash them off. Gather your paints and brushes and watch the video below, and just have fun with this.  The kids will love it, and strawberries could just be the beginning.
